From the readings this week I found the article “9 Insider Tips for Creating a Killer Explainer Video,” was helpful to help me think of how I will organize my video, what content to include, what visuals to use and the theme I would want to use. At first I thought my video would be me talking about capstone with some visuals of a classroom and students being super engaged in their work while they use technology. I think I might do that but what if I do create some sort of voice over of me but maybe have my students be part of the voice over? They are the ones doing the learning in my classroom. One more thing that got my attention in that article was to have fun with my video. As I brainstormed on how my final would be it seemed boring to me and not reflective on who I am and my personality. So I hope I can make it entertaining and not have a monotone voice. But then again, how the heck do I create a video like that? How will I be able to make it funny or engaging while I keep it professional and getting my message across? That’s my dilemma right now.

I agree too that I found the article of "9 Insider Tips" useful and helpful. I used some of their tips to help me create my blueprint of how I would like my Capstone project video to be. I was thinking of using some video clips of Donald Trump being our president to promote my Capstone project idea that young adults should register and vote to be more proactive within their community. I am hoping that my audience will find it entertaining and yet a good hook for them to continue into my Capstone website.

I also found that article useful, I also enjoyed the one about visuals. I love the idea of hearing your students voices. I think other teachers will value hearing what they say. I think the fact that you have identified that you need to balance humor with professionalism while clearly delivering your message is the first step. I am sure it will be awesome!

I have been thinking the same thing, making it engaging and getting my message across in a professional way. I feel like the more I think and work on it the more I want to change my initial ideas, especially after the video we watched last session. I do agree that our video should reflect our personality. We are all creative in different ways so that will be interesting to see how each of our videos turn out.

I found the "9 tips" video to be very helpful for creating our video. Watching your first copy of the video, your voice showed a lot of enthusiasm, importance, and relevance . I can't wait to see what your final cut will look like. We are nearing the finish line!
