One of the things that concerns me the most is if what I create will keep my viewers’ attention and also create curiosity and interest amongst my viewers that will make them want to explore and learn from my capstone. So far the most comfortable Web 2.0 tool that I use is Screencastify. I have used it quite a bit this new school year as I have experimented with flipped teaching. Therefore I consider myself average when creating videos through Screencastify. But then again I am not sure that this tool can really help me with what I mentioned earlier of having my audience engaged and wanting more. I have used Adobe Spark and it seems more intriguing and modern. The only issue that I have is will the options it provides me with if it will be what I envision for my video to be. I think at this point I really don’t want to learn how to use a new tool for my video because the amount of work we have to do for this program and let alone our professions. But I am willing to leave some options open for a bit.

I have the same concern about the grabbing the attention of the audience. What about a simple video editing program to stitch your screencasts together? I am going to use screencast o matic, save it as a video then load it into iMovie. Just a thought maybe. I was also thinking of paying the 1.99 a month to record sound off my computer as well. Did you do that?

I agree, the creative aspect takes some time and is definitely something I'm hoping to do right with my video as well. I think that a big part of it will be the hook we use to connect with the user, what we use to create our video play a big part too of course. I hope you are able to use Adobe Spark as it does have that visual appeal and the options to do more fancy things. I personally still need practice with it.

I'm right there with you about the time constraints in trying to learn a new tool given our busy work life schedules that we already spend most of our time for (I've tried using other editing tools such as WeVideo and Shotcut but both were a hassle in trying to get to the editing part- so Adobe Spark it is). My experience with Adobe Spark, seem a bit limiting- in regards to editing features so I worry too if it will provide what is needed to help reach our audience. But I am a strong believer in its not what you say but how you say it. So I am hopeful that Adobe Spark can provide you what you need in getting your audience attention and curiosity.
